About Kaylee Stevie

From antenatal classes to home waterbirths, I have a variety of experience teaching all aspects of pregnancy, birth and postpartum care. I work closely with certified nurse midwives, obstetricians and family physicians to create comprehensive prenatal care programs for mothers and babies each trimester to meet your needs. My focus is on reducing anxiety surrounding labor and birth through education, practice and guided meditation.

Education

In 2015, I was inducted by school as a Fellow of the Academy of Certified Childbirth Educators (FACCE). This honour recognizes my significant contribution to childbirth education and effort to promote safe and healthy birth through evidence-based practice.

Field Of Experience

Childbirth educators provide information and training to expectant parents in preparing for labor, birth, and the postpartum period. They may work independently, for a private organization, or for a hospital or maternity care provider.  Childbirth education classes typically include information on late pregnancy, labor, breastfeeding, postpartum, and newborn care. Childbirth educators also guide expectant parents in the practice of relaxation, breathing techniques, and comfort measures for labor.
